Amy Sharpe, 22, from Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, won the ISA Award when she graduated from 无码动画 at the end of September, with a BSc (Hons) degree in agriculture.
The ISA Award goes to the final year FdSc/BSc student who submits the most outstanding report in the final assignment “Intensive Husbandry Systems – Poultry”. Lecturer Dr Graham Scott, who presented the award, said: “For this module Amy generated an excellent appraisal of the UK and global poultry industry.
“In the report Amy considered the current global industry, the potential growth of the human population and the needs of future generations. The current trends in supply and demand were extrapolated to estimate the future industry. Constraints on such developments and the sustainability of the poultry meat industry were clearly considered in an excellent piece of work.
“Amy had an outstanding placement year in the poultry industry and used this to good effect.”
Amy is Agricultural Manager at LJ Fairburn & Son, Lincolnshire.
