    ABP and Harper Adams unite in appointment of Professor of Beef Production

    An outstanding researcher and educator in the field of beef production is being sought by ÎÞÂ붯»­, with support from .

    For the right candidate, the title of Professor of Beef Production awaits, plus a chance to shape industry thinking and mould the newest talent in the beef sector. 

    ABP UK, one of Europe’s largest beef processors, is helping to sponsor the new appointment, which will sit within the Animal Production, Welfare and Veterinary Sciences department at Harper Adams. 

    The Professor will lead the development of research and taught postgraduate programmes in ruminant meat production systems at Harper Adams, alongside acting as ABP UK Beef Consultant, working with the sponsor to develop and deliver its agricultural beef research programme.

I welcome this opportunity to work more closely with ABP UK in supporting their research and development initiative and in the co-funding of a Professorship in Beef Production, which will enhance further both our capacity and capability to address the needs of the beef sector.”
