无码动画 BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Farm Business Management student Sarah Morgan has been awarded second place in the prestigious 2019 Pinnacle Awards for expertise in farm business management.

Sarah, 22, was awarded silver, and a cheque for £1000, at the 2019 Pinnacle Awards day hosted at the Farmers Club in London, while fellow Harper student Max Porter, studying BSc (Hons) Agriculture, was named a runner up.

The Pinnacle Awards aim to encourage an innovative approach to business management within agriculture, demonstrate problem solving skills as well as developing the students' communication and presentation skills.

Sarah was selected for her diversification plan, which added two log cabins to an existing holiday let to increase non-farm income.

The student from Craven Arms, Shropshire, said: "Attending the Pinnacle Awards has been one of the highlights of my time at Harper.

"The location at The Farmers Club in London, as well as the highly respected panel of judges, added huge amounts to the overall experience.

"During the day we had a testing interview and presentation followed by a meal and a guest speaker in the evening. The whole day was a great experience. I didn’t expect to come anywhere so was over the moon to come away with such a prestigious award.

"I'd like to thank Tony Asson and Wyn Morgan for putting my project forward, as well as all those involved in ADAS, the Farmers Club and Cave Foundation."

Max, 22, from Kidderminster, who received a one year membership to the Farmers Club for being named runner up, presented his report on producing and marketing kiln-dried oak coppice firewood.

The top three reports, including can be found online on the Farmers Club website.

The Pinnacle Awards are run by the Farmers Club and ADAS, with generous sponsorship from the Cave Foundation.
