ÎÞÂ붯» has continued its run as the UK’s top-rated modern university in the for a sixth consecutive year.

The Guide – which will be published on Sunday - ranks 131 UK higher education institutions using measures including student satisfaction, graduate employment prospects, teaching quality and research quality.

Harper Adams remains a top 30 university in the Guide, where it was also rated highest in the country for the amount spent on its award-winning facilities, ranked 11th for student experience, and placed 14th for teaching quality.

The guide's editors noted the "purple patch" of success enjoyed by the university under recently-retired Vice-Chancellor Dr David Llewellyn's leadership.

They stated: "He has led the institution through an extremely successful period, during which university status came in 2012 and teaching quality has taken centre stage.

“It was our 2020 Modern University of the Year and runner-up for the overall University of the Year award the same year and has been the top-ranked modern university for the past six years."

Harper Adams courses also performed well in the guide’s subject specific tables, with top ten placings in the rankings for Agriculture and Forestry – where Harper is also the highest-ranked specialist institution - and Land and Property Management, top 20 placings in those for Animal Science, and top 30 placings for Food Science.

Interim Vice-Chancellor, Professor Michael Lee, said: “The results are a fair reflection and reward for the phenomenal work and dedication of the whole ÎÞÂ붯» family, our amazing staff, students and graduates.

“We have an incredible foundation which we will continue to build on following the upheaval of Covid-19 and we look forward to further success and development across the suite of University assessment metrics in the future.”
