    WiRE GOES NATIONWIDE IN 2002

    Posted 13 December 2001

FOR RURAL WOMEN, trying to turn a bright idea into a successful business venture can be a testing experience. How do you convince the bank manager that your idea has financial merit? How do you persuade people to give you a chance to make your vision a reality?

Help will be at hand early next year, when the pioneering Women In Rural Enterprise (WiRE) initiative launches a nationwide membership scheme to provide help, advice and support for the UK’s many female rural entrepreneurs.

The national launch of Women in Rural Enterprise next year will coincide with the third annual conference, which will be taking up the theme of ‘Business Skills’ and that means more practical workshops and great inspirational speakers, offering more advice and expertise to the rural entrepreneur than ever before. The event will take place at ÎÞÂ붯» College, in Shropshire.

The groundbreaking membership scheme and the unveiling of the WiRE web-site at will form a key part of the national launch. Membership will have many benefits including rural specific seminars and workshops, greater opportunities to network with other businesswomen and a preferential business loan rate with HSBC Bank.

For further information about WiRE membership or to book a place at the WiRE Conference 2002 on February 7, please call +44 (0) 1952 815 338, E-mail:info@wireuk.org
