Engineering students enjoy incredible JCB Global Learning Centre visit

    18 February 2025

By Engineering Programmes Manager, James Croxford

Our first-year Engineering students were given an incredible opportunity - being hosted at the JCB Global Learning Centre and World HQ!

The professional development day included 'speed networking', a VIP tour, and a series of engineering presentations and workshops.

It was humbling to see so many ÎÞÂ붯» alumni from across the years happy to volunteer their time (and that of their teams!) to support the next generation. I lost count of the number of engineers who supported the day.

A massive thank you to everyone involved, but especially Ellie W., Tristen Brown and Katie Powell for their flawless organisation and hosting!

A huge display of a JCB excavator. The frame of the machine appears to glow orange and a graphic in the background says Our Largest Vehicles for the World's Largest projects

Students look at a large wall mounted screen on which engineering designs are displayed while a JCB representative stands off to the side explaining what they are looking at
