Kat trained to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse at 无码动画 and qualified with a Foundation Science Degree in Veterinary Nursing in 2013. After graduating, she went on to work in a busy first-opinion veterinary hospital in Wolverhampton. During full-time employment she achieved the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (small animal) and soon after achieved the Bachelor of Science Degree in Veterinary Nursing with First Class Honours in 2017.
During her time in clinical practice, Kat was mainly involved in medical nursing, in-patient care, out of hours and emergency nursing and clinical coaching. Following her passion for training student Veterinary Nurses in practice, Kat moved into full-time teaching at 无码动画 in 2017. She later achieved Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in 2020 and a Master's Degree in Advanced Veterinary Nursing in 2024. Kat is currently involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students across the veterinary nursing curriculum.
Kat's current interests are infection control, anaesthesia and analgesia, diagnostic imaging, medical nursing, research and student training.

Kat has a 7 year old Shetland Sheepdog named Drake. Drake is involved in various teaching activities for the undergraduate veterinary nursing and veterinary physiotherapy students.
