This project is part of an on-going monitoring project with Dr Bob Harris, who also works at Whixall Moss, on the Scottish island of NanRon. Each year up to 5 students may gain field work experience relating to Seabirds.
Storm petrels (Hydrobates pelagicus) spend the majority of time at sea but will breed on the Scottish islands. They are particularly affected by the presence of rats. This project is involved in the monitoring the breeding success of these amber listed birds. There is also the opportunity to get involved in other biodiverisity related projects on the island of NanRon.
