The diverse skills boosted by an apprenticeship at ÎÞÂ붯»­ have been celebrated throughout National Apprenticeship Week – as our end-of-week roundup shows!

On Monday, we spoke with Natalie Parker, at LLM Farm Vets in Whitchurch, about her work as a Vet Tech – and our Veterinary Technician Higher Apprenticeship.

On Tuesday, we spoke with Vicky Wieczerzynska about her role as Work Planning & Development Programme Lead for the Lands Team at the National Grid – and about what it means for employers to work with a University like Harper Adams.

On Wednesday, we spoke with Food Industry Technical Professional Degree Apprenticeship student Shime Srinathan about her studies at Harper Adams – and about how they’re shaping her work.

 And on T Level Thursday, Widening Participation Officer and T Level Ambassador Rachel Brookes set out more about our work on T Levels and Degree Apprenticeships in this blog.

Apprenticeships Manager Carol Rogers said: ““This year’s National Apprenticeship Week theme was ‘Skills for Life’ – and with more than 250 learners currently undertaking an apprenticeship at the University, and almost 400 apprentices overall having taken part, there’s certainly been a lot to celebrate!

“We’re working 127 different employers across the sectors we serve to equip their staff with the skills their business need. Both they, and their apprentices, consistently give us ‘excellent’ reviews on the Department for Education website.

“We were the first provider to offer the Vet Technician higher apprenticeship – and it was great to hear more from Natalie, who is a Harper alumna herself, about how that qualification is helping to make a difference.

“There’s more to come, too, with plans underway for new apprenticeships set to launch very soon – so watch this space!”
